Corporate gut health talks

Your team’s focus starts in the gut

Chronic stress and poor digestion feed each other, and your team’s energy and concentration pay for it. GP Dr Leke Asong shows your people how to break the cycle.

Work-related stress, anxiety and depression cost Britain 22.1 million working days in a single year

964,000 workers reported stress, depression or anxiety caused or made worse by work in 2024/25, according to the Health and Safety Executive. If you manage a team, some of those people work for you. Would you know which ones? Dr Leke begins with gut health, because it’s one of the most direct ways stress shows up in the body, and one of the easiest places to start fixing it.

Why your team’s stress shows up in their stomach

Your gut and your brain are in constant conversation. Months of stress unsettle the gut, and an unsettled gut sends the signal back as anxiety, fatigue and poor concentration. Dr Leke makes the gut–stress loop make sense in minutes, then gives your team small, daily ways to break it.

In the session, your team learns:

  • Why stress sets off bloating and IBS flare-ups in busy periods

  • The gut-brain link behind brain fog and poor focus

  • Why sugar cravings peak under pressure, and how to steady them

  • How gut health shapes immunity, and the infections behind sick days

  • Food and daily habits that fit around a full diary

How your team will benefit…

Changes that show up in the working week.

  • Calmer digestion

Less bloating and discomfort to distract from the work.

  • Fewer sugar cravings

Your team learns why stress drives the craving, and what to eat instead.

  • Sharper focus

Less brain fog, so work gets done right the first time.

  • More mental and physical stamina

Fewer afternoon crashes, and more left at the end of the day.

  • A stronger immune system

Fewer colds passed round the team, and fewer days lost to them.

  • More restful sleep

Proper rest, and a morning that starts on the front foot.

Built for busy people

Food and daily habits, backed by the science, that work on the busiest days.

Why book Dr Leke for your organisation?

Your team gets medical evidence explained by a doctor, in plain English, with room for the questions people never get to ask in a ten-minute GP appointment. Hi, I’m Dr Leke, a UK-based gut health specialist

For years I lived with poor gut health and the symptoms that came with it. I saw specialist after specialist, found no answers, and resigned myself to living with it.

Training as a GP, I met patient after patient with the same story I had. That frustration led me to functional medicine, an evidence-based approach that looks for the root cause of illness. Using it alongside my GP training, I resolved my own gut problems.

I founded Gut Health Medic to help people one-to-one. These talks bring the same approach to whole teams.

“Highly recommend Gut Health Medic. My problems were sorted after one consultation! Leke is such a genuine down to earth guy and knows his stuff entirely. I couldn’t recommend him more.”

Frequently asked questions

How does gut health affect productivity at work?

Poor gut health is linked to fatigue, brain fog, poor concentration, and recurring infections, which reduce output and increase sick days across a team.

What are the early signs of burnout in employees?

Persistent fatigue, brain fog, procrastination, mistakes, anxiety and frequent illness. Gut symptoms, such as bloating and sugar cravings, often accompany them.

Can improving gut health reduce stress?

Gut health and stress affect each other through the gut-brain axis. Supporting your gut through diet and habits can help your body cope with stress.

Does Dr Leke give individual medical advice during the talk?

The talk is general education. Anyone with personal symptoms should see their own GP or book a private consultation with Gut Health Medic.
